Fast Casual

This new fast-casual restaurant brought tasty and convenient Indian cuisine to the Downtown Vancouver scene. The restaurant’s interior was designed to be both modern and approachable, with trendy lighting and signage concepts that blend seamlessly with the overall design. We worked closely with the clients marketing firm and provided customer area space planning and custom millwork detailing with embedded ambient lighting in the banquette and vanity mirror creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for diners.

The frosted storefront glazing is used to maintain a sense of depth and openness in the space, while the sinuous curved cash counter draws clients along to the connected lunch counter into the dining space.

We also worked closely with the City of Vancouver to allow the client to have an operable glass Nana wall that connects to a small outdoor seating area. This feature adds an extra element of flexibility to the space, allowing diners to enjoy their meals in the fresh air on sunny days. As with all commercial kitchens, a lot of coordination went into making the different pieces come together seamlessly between Mechanical and the commercial kitchen designer.
